Get a specific offer
Ask for the title of the position, the exact address of the work, the legal name of the party to the contract, the type of contract and the date of execution. Ask separately if the place is confirmed for your arrival. If it is a reserve, determine whether you are ready to wait and at whose expense you will live during this time.
Record the base rate, netto or brutto, possible expenses, tuition fees and the date of the first payment. The wording "up to a certain amount per month" without hours and terms of bonuses is not suitable for planning a move. Compare the offer for the same scheme of income and expenses.
Divide the document verification into three questions

The duration of the EU General Temporary Protection Scheme is not an individual travel permit or a guarantee of your status. In 2026, new changes appeared at the EU level, so the old announcement with one date is not enough. The list of documents must be personal. Check it in an official institution or with a specialist in the relevant procedure; check the issue of crossing the border separately. Don't rely on an undated mailing list or a recruiter's promise that "everyone gets through."
Make a budget before the first payment
Calculate the ticket, local travel, accommodation until registration, food, communication, a possible deposit and a reserve for a change of plans. Do not consider an advance available until you have been told the terms of its receipt.
Conventional example: the road costs 300 zł, local transport - 100 zł, food and living expenses to be paid - 600 zł, provision for an unexpected overnight stay - 250 zł. In total, you need 1 250 zł, even before a separate deposit for housing, if there is one. This is an educational calculation, not a recommended minimum: substitute your own prices and number of waiting days.
Ask for the exact payment date for the incomplete first month. Starting work at the end of the month does not mean that the full monthly amount will arrive soon. Check whether there are expenses before the first earnings, and which are withheld later.
Arrange arrival and check-in
Save the address, name of the responsible person, agreed contact, check-in hours and route from the station. Find out what to do if the bus is delayed and whether you can check in at night. The promise of a meeting should include the place and method of communication, not just the word "meet".
Home and work can be at different addresses. Check it out cost and rules of accommodation, as well as getting to the early shift. If traveling as a couple, confirm a seat for each person; one set does not guarantee a shared room or the same schedule.
Pre-departure checklist
- There is a written confirmation of the vacancy and the date of registration.
- Reasons for travel, stay and work are clear.
- Known addresses, contact of responsible person and plan in case of delay.
- Calculated costs to pay and reserve for changing plans.
- Copies of agreements are available offline.
